The night was going well, everyone was dancing and apparently having a great time. I was feeling good. The music was going down really well and some people took the time to tell me how much they were enjoying the event. Hooray.

This was Saturday 3rd November - our latest salsa party at Longridge Con Club. What could go wrong?

Well..., one thing could. Only a small thing really but a big embarrassment for yours truly.

At about 10pm I thought -'that sounds like the Macarena'. The reason was that it was the Macarena. By the confused look of the assembled crowd I could see that this Europop classic wasn't what they wanted to hear. A hasty track change accompanied by a big cheer and everything is back to normal. I'm not sure how that rogue got in there but no harm done and on with the dancing..

Anyway, it's taught me to take more care over the playlist so next time should be even better. Fingers crossed.
