Introduction to Son basics leading into Cuban style Cha Cha Cha workshop.

Many of our salsa dancers have asked us about Son, what it is, how it's done and where can they learn the basic steps. Many have asked us if we could teach them Son. Likewise for Cha Cha Cha.
Because of these requests we have planned and set up a workshop course specifically designed for and aimed at those that have some experience of dancing salsa but would like to learn Cuban Son and Cha Cha Cha.

Have you :-

• A desire to learn how to dance Son & Cha Cha Cha in one focused session.
• Some experience of salsa dance and want to add Son & Cha Cha Cha to your repertoire.
• Tried Son and/or Cha Cha Cha but not quite got it or not quiet sure how to mix it in.
• A desire to take your salsa to the next level.

Yes? Then this is the course for you.

Our Son & Cha Cha Cha course is on 20th February 2016 11:30am - 4:00pm at Fulwood Lawn Tennis Club, Preston with a limited number of places.

We will make every effort to even up the numbers of leaders and followers, but it would be useful if you could try to book in pairs. However we will endeavour to provide volunteer taxi dancers to help us achieve a balance if needed.

Course Summary

The course starts at 11:30am and runs through until 4:00pm with a break of 45 minutes for lunch plus 2 short comfort breaks. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits during break times but please bring your own lunch and any other snacks.

Students will cover the basic steps, timing and body movement, leading and following techniques for both dances. We will also cover some of the basic partner moves, concentrating on those steps that are the basis for more elaborate moves that you can see on a social dance floors.

There will also be time for practice at regular intervals through the day and a Q&A session with us to help you nail it!
