It was a great (and full) day of learning Dominican style bachata on Saturday April 23rd 2016.

Julia and Steve kicked off the morning with a run-through of lots of basic Dominican style steps to get everone warmed up for the main event in the afternoon.

After lunch Felipe really cranked up the speed and made us work - explaining that when students pay good money to attend it is necessary to introduce them to new things. He also pointed out that it is not necessary to learn everything all at once but to take away a few new techniques and to practice and develop these later.

We have a last minute addition to our Thursday night class in the form of a very special guest teacher - Yainer Carbonell and his dance partner Anneta Tamuori.

Tuesday class at St Michael and St John's Social Centre in Clitheroe is becoming overrun with women so, right now, men are urgently required.

If you are a man aged between 25 and 75 and would like to come and join us for a bit of light hearted fun and exercise whilst meeting new friends why not come and join us?

For all our venues on March 1st, 2nd and 3rd - at all our classes we are having a one-off week of bachata for the first hour 8pm to 9pm

If you'd like to learn this sensual dance come along on any of those dates. They'll be combined classes for all beginners and improvers.

9.15pm to 10pm is salsa as normal. If it is ever 'normal', that is.

If you've never done Bachata - it's a close hold dance from the Dominican Republic and is relatively easy to pick up the basics.

These will be fun nights so come along if you are free.

If you have ever wanted to learn how to salsa, now might be a great time to give it a go and join the growing number of people who have discovered this fun, social and enjoyable dance.

Sweet Salsa are holding another round of six-week introductions to salsa dancing that are ideal for those taking their first steps onto the dancefloor.

Calling all men who want to learn salsa in double-quick time.

We have a number of spaces remaining for our all-day salsa class at Samlesbury War Memorial Hall on January 16th 2016 at 10.30am.

We need you to pair up with our pre-booked ladies and we have space for up to five more guys.

It's a great fun day and a fabulous opportunity to learn a new skill and meet new people.

Best of all we are offering these spaces at a last-minute discount - down from the usual price of £35 to just £20 for the full day.

Classes are currently closed for the Christmas season.

Rest assured that the fun begins again in the first week of January 2016. At each of these, alongside the normal classes, we are holding our complete beginner courses. So if you have ever wanted to learn, now is an excellent opportunity.
