If you are free this Bank Holiday Monday May 26th 2014 and looking for something to do - you are welcome to join us for our usual Salsa class at The Conservative Club in Longridge at 8.00pm.

I say as usual, but it's not quite - Julia is away for two weeks and Steve is left holding the fort for the time she is away and this is the first class with Steve in charge..

It's a bit of a late notice, panic situation as this event is only 2 weeks away but we just found out that our usual party venue isn't available on June 7th. It's also Julia's birthday do! Not Sweet Salsa Julia but Julia Brookfiled so it's quite important that it should still go ahead if at all possible.

We hear that we slipped up last Bank Holiday (Easter Monday) and someone turned up to class after travelling some distance to find that the room was deserted and no salsa was taking place. Yeah, should have made an announcement to let everyone know - that's one of the things that the website should be for. Take a note Steve!

So this Bank Holiday - May Day - May 5th 2014 we are holding a class as usual for a Monday evening. Class is on and we will be there. We promise!

Just a quick note of reminder.

Due to a previous booking we are unable to have the use of the room at Fulwood Tennis Club on Wednesday, March 26th 2014.

This is the last of the disruptions that we are aware of for the forseeable future so it's a full summer of salsa Wednesdays at Fulwood during the rest of 2014.

If you've not tried our classes yet, come along anytime you are free as everyone is welcome.

It makes us feel great when we see our dancers enjoying themselves so much at our classes and parties and this is really one of the main reasons why we do it. I'm sure it is the same for other teachers throughout the dance world.

Due to circumstances beyond our control salsa classes will not be held on January 29th 2014 and February 26th 2014 and March 26th 2014 at Fulwood Tennis Club.

It's normal service other than that.

For the growing numbers at our other class there is good news - The Longridge class is unaffected. Hooray.

Congratulations to Geoff Ramsden - the winner of this year's Strictly Sweepstake.

A bottle of wine will be waiting for you at the first class of 2014 at Longridge on 6th January or Fulwood Tennis Club on the 15th.

Julia and Steve spent Saturday in Heywood, Greater Manchester learning salsa, rumba (that's Cuban rumba, not ballroom) and Afro-Cuban styling from one of the best dancers in the World!

Felipe Reyes from Salsa Cabana organised for Maykel Fonts to come over from his base in Italy to provide the teaching.

Starting in January, Julia and Steve are holding a new weekly salsa class in Preston, Lancashire.

The date for your diary is 15th January 2014 and we'll be teaching Cuban style salsa each Wednesday evening. Beginners classes start at 8.00pm.

What a great way to start the new year.

We hope to see friends old and new for some lighthearted dance and exercise.
