Student Teacher Nerves

Anyone who knows me or who come to class regularly will know that I would not be relishing the idea of taking our most recent Monday night salsa class on my own. But, deep breaths, I have taken one or two classes in the past. It's just that it's been a bit of a long time and I've got used to Julia Rice taking the reins and leading the classes. Anyone who knows both of us will not be surprised by that information.

For almost as long as I've been doing salsa I've been aware of a venue in Yorkshire called the Engine Shed - it appears to have almost mythical status among those in the know. So after all these years and as we are at a loose end Julia suggests a visit as Yersin Rivas is giving a Cuban class this weekend at this venue.
As some of you know already we are on the lookout for a new venue for our Wednesday evening dance classes as The Pickerings has sadly had to close it's doors. Well, it's not proving to be all that easy to find a suitable room in the Garstang area. None of the pubs seem to have function rooms and the only thing we've found so far is an old church hall that is due to be demolished anytime soon so you can imagine what that is like.
The night was going well, everyone was dancing and apparently having a great time. I was feeling good. The music was going down really well and some people took the time to tell me how much they were enjoying the event. Hooray.
Saturday 13th October should have seen the latest mega-salsa event in Blackpool - The Tower Inferno but it seems that quite late in the run up to the event it was sadly cancelled.
