November 30th 2014 is a date for your diary as Sweet Salsa have been invited back to do a guest teacher spot at the monthly salsa event hosted by James Ford at Truffles Restaurant in Whittle le Woods near Chorley.

Due to a scheduled quiz night at our normal Thursday evening venue - Blackburn Golf Club - Sweet Salsa will be holding the class at a replacement venue - The Canberra Club at British Aerospace Samlesbury.

That was the verdict of one of the slightly surprised and not very sober local who was making his way through the crowd at the El Tapeo after-party.

We're the talk of the town of Blackburn today with a big story in the Telegraph. Basically an appeal for male dancers to join us at our Thursday class at the Golf Club.

It doesn't seem to happen too often with Sweet Salsa classes as we are quite lucky and generally have a fairly even mix of ladies and men in the classes. Sometimes we have a few more ladies, as every class does from time to time, but usually nothing to worry about.

The June 2014 salsa party night took place for the first time at Fulwood Tennis Club last Saturday and I for one thought it went really well.

I was a bit concerned that the room could be a bit less 'sociable' than our Longridge room. But, no need to worry, as most people that I have asked have given it the thumbs up. They liked the accessible bar and the outside area for cooling off so we might have another event here sometime soon but we would like more of your feedback so let us know what you thought..
