We understand that making the decision to attend your first class can be hard because you are unsure about what to expect.
Most people have a lot of concerns, such as :-
- What are the teachers like?
- Will I be made to feel uncomfortable in a class full of more experienced dancers?
- Will I be able to keep up with the lessons?
- What level do I need to be before I start?
- Should I have previous dance experience?
- Do I need a partner?
All these are genuine issues and the beginners classes are designed to reduce some of the concerns of those people who are new to Salsa.
Julia and Steve utilise a relaxed style for their lessons and the main aim is that everyone has fun and goes away with a smile on their face.
There is no need to worry about the level of the class as everyone in your group will be new and the lessons will be taken at quite a gentle pace with the ultimate goal of learning a basic salsa routine that you can use on any dance floor.
You do not need any previous experience - just a willingness to learn and a cheerful attitude.
No partner is required as we rotate students around the class so that everyone present will get equal opportunity to dance during the evening.
One thing we do need though is MEN! There's always more ladies in the classes. So if you are a single guy with time on his hands why not come along and make some new friends.
PLEASE NOTE : You are welcome to come along to any of our classes as a beginner - you will not be forced to join a class that is way above your head. We will look after you.
